Overview

This FAQ explains how to add LinkedIn profiles to your CRM system and enrich them with additional contact data. When you're browsing LinkedIn with our CRM integration active, you'll have options to seamlessly transfer profile information to your CRM while optionally enhancing it with enriched contact details like email addresses and phone numbers.

What options do I have when adding a LinkedIn profile to my CRM?

When viewing a LinkedIn profile that isn't already in your connected CRM, you'll see two options:

  • Add as Contact - Syncs the entire LinkedIn profile to your CRM

  • Add & Enrich Contact - Adds the contact to your CRM and simultaneously enriches the profile with additional data

What happens when I select "Add as Contact"?

When you choose Add as Contact, the system will:

  1. Sync the complete LinkedIn profile information to your CRM, including any contact information available on the LinkedIn profile

  2. Display an "Enrich" option after the contact is added

  3. Allow you to manually trigger enrichment later if desired

What happens when I select "Add & Enrich Contact"?

When you choose Add & Enrich Contact, the system will:

  1. Add the LinkedIn contact's complete profile to your CRM

  2. Automatically trigger data enrichment during the same process

  3. Provide you with emails and phone numbers instantly through the enrichment process

Can enrichment happen automatically?

Yes! You can enable automatic enrichment in your settings:

  1. Navigate to your settings

  2. Find the option "Trigger Enrichment Automatically"

  3. Turn this setting ON

When this setting is enabled, even if you click "Add as Contact", the system will automatically perform enrichment without requiring the separate "Add & Enrich Contact" option.

What does enrichment provide?

Enrichment provides you with:

  • Email addresses instantly - not just those visible on the LinkedIn profile

  • Phone numbers for direct contact

  • Additional verified contact information for more effective outreach

Where can I view enriched data?

You have flexible options for where enriched data is stored and displayed:

Within LeadCRM:

  • Enriched data stays within LeadCRM and is visible in the Prospects section

  • Enhanced information also appears directly on LinkedIn profiles while browsing

Synced to Your CRM:

  • Configure Custom Field mapping to map enriched data to your CRM fields

  • LeadCRM will automatically send enriched data to your CRM according to your configured mappings

  • Ensures enriched contact information is available across both platforms

What's the difference between manual and automatic enrichment?

Manual Enrichment:

  • Choose between "Add as Contact" or "Add & Enrich Contact"

  • Control when enrichment occurs

  • Two-step process available if you prefer to add first, then enrich

Automatic Enrichment:

  • All profile additions include enrichment by default

  • Single-click process regardless of which button you choose

  • Saves time by eliminating the need to manually select enrichment options

Which option should I choose?

Choose "Add as Contact" if you:

  • Want to quickly add the complete LinkedIn profile information

  • Plan to enrich the data later

  • Prefer a two-step process

Choose "Add & Enrich Contact" if you:

  • Want the LinkedIn profile data plus instant access to emails and phone numbers

  • Prefer a single-step process

  • Need enriched contact data right away for follow-up activities

Enable automatic enrichment if you:

  • Always want enriched data with instant email and phone number access

  • Want to streamline your workflow

  • Add contacts frequently and prefer consistency
