This guide will show you how to connect your Apollo.io account with LeadCRM's waterfall enrichment feature. This allows you to use Apollo's data to enhance your lead information directly within LeadCRM.
What is LeadCRM Waterfall Enrichment?
LeadCRM's waterfall enrichment feature lets you improve your lead data by pulling information from over 15 different data providers in a sequence. You can set up a "waterfall" to check each provider one by one until the required information is found. Apollo is one of the key vendors you can add to this process.
Step 1: Get Your API Key from Apollo
First, you need to generate an API key from your Apollo account.
Log in to your Apollo.io account.
In the sidebar, navigate to Settings > Integrations. (https://app.apollo.io/#/settings/integrations)
Click on the API tab, then click Connect.
Select + Add a new key.
Enter a name for your key that will help you remember its purpose (e.g., "LeadCRM Integration").
Set the permissions. For this integration, you can either leave the permissions blank (which grants full access) or select specific Enrichment permissions .
Click Create Key.
Apollo will generate your API key. Copy this key immediately and save it somewhere safe. For security, Apollo will not show you this key again .
Step 2: Add the Apollo API Key to LeadCRM
Now, you will add the key you just copied into your LeadCRM settings.
Log in to your LeadCRM backend and go to the tools and integrations page (e.g.,
https://dash.leadcrm.io/toolsandintegration).Navigate to Enrich Settings and select the Providers tab.
Find the Apollo section and paste your API key into the input field.
Click Add.
If your key is valid, LeadCRM will save it, and the connection will be complete.
Using Apollo for Enrichment
With the integration active, Apollo will now be available as a data source in your waterfall enrichment settings. You can add it to your enrichment sequences to start enhancing your leads with Apollo's data.
Simply drag and drop Apollo from left panel into flow on right side.
Select Email only or Both based on how you want to use Apollo for email or Email + Phone enrichment.
Click on Save and now going forward all your enrichments will be triggered based on flow you have saved here. You can always edit as per your need in future.
